Lilian Ayiro

Lilian Ayiro is a lecturer at Moi University in Kenya, where she teaches and supervises graduate students. Her research focuses on parenting, attachment, disability and child development. Her interest lies not only in studying how caregiving shape child outcomes, but also in identifying intervention programs that can promote positive parenting behaviour and secure attachment among children in Kenya. Lilian is a current recipient of ESSA-Real Early Childhood Development research fund to study challenges and opportunities of caregivers in promoting literacy among children with sensory impairment in Kenya. She serves as an associate board member of SEAS and coordinates Graduate, Post Graduate and Early Career Network in Emotional & Attachment Studies (GPENEAS), a special interest group of SEAS.
